Treatment Philosphy

The mission of treatment is to restore power to the body as it reflects in mobility, facilitating the body’s ability to self-correct within the universal principles of alignment.

  • An in depth assessment to evaluate your unique pattern of immobility.

  • Helping you get in touch with what impedes your mobility. The body devotes vast amounts of energy to what it deems necessary to protect. It is the role of the practitioner to identify these areas and attempt to mediate and redirect the energy within the original framework of alignment.

  • As the patient has been brought in touch with true alignment and function has been restored to an acceptable level, continuation of treatment facilitates deeper consciousness of alignment and consequently prevents and empowers future freedom of mobility.

How it works

About Erik

Erik’s fascination for the human body & the expression of movement started at a very young age, leading him to obtain his degree from the Den Haag Academy for Physical Therapy in his home country of the Netherlands. Upon graduating he spent several years working in The Netherlands, Germany, and Switzerland.

Having always had a deep appreciation for travel and open minded cultures, Erik moved to the United States in search of a place to facilitate his own healing, as well as fertile ground to develop his work. The freedom and creative mindset of the West Coast proved to be the breeding ground for his work as it is practiced today.

Erik’s training under Ed Stiles introduced him to the osteopathic principle that the body is always looking to self-correct, which has had a huge influence on Erik’s methodology. His also incorporates the energetic principle that energy can be directed in very specific ways, which was taught to him by a doctor of Chinese Medicine on his international travels.

The body is always looking to correct itself and the mission of Erik’s work is to assist in this process and to provide a long term solution.
